Postdoctoral fellowships in Biochemistry of the Cell Cycle , Montpellier, France
A 30 months postdoctoral position is available early 2010 within the frame of the ANR funded project CDKDNA ("Control of DNA replication and genome stability by cyclindependent kinases : substrates and functions"). The goal of the project is to use chemicalgenetics techniques (Ubersax et al., 2003, Nature ; adapted by Blethrow et al., 2008, PNAS) to purify and identify CDK substrates from a physiologically functional system of Xenopus egg extracts.
Beside experience in protein purification, the successful candidate should be trained in modern mass spectrometry strategies used in proteomics, and previous experience in phosphoproteomics would be an advantage.
The work will be performed in the lab of Michel Rossignol (where the postdoc will have technology support and full access to the mass spectrometry platform), in close collaboration the team of Daniel Fisher at the IGMM (www.igmm.cnrs.fr).
Salary is around €2000 / month.
