Post-doctoral position : Proteomics on membrane proteins
Subject : Characterization of the membrane proteome by selective targeting of membrane proteins and mass spectrometry.
Locality : Institut André Lwoff, Villejuif
Job description : The candidate will have to develop and set up protocols for selective targeting of membrane proteins by chemical labelling. Membrane proteins will be further analyzed using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
Profile : The candidate should have a good expertise among the following fields, biochemistry of membrane proteins, organic chemistry and chemical labelling of proteins such as ICAT labelling, quantitative proteomics (using SILAC, ICAT, etc), nanoHPLC chromatography and LC-MS/MS.
Duration and salary : 1 year with possible extension, starting beginning of 2010 (February or March) ; 50 k€ a year including taxes.
